Making a difference
You will take part in meaningful projects that make employees’ impact on the achievement of Rabobank’s targets clear and predictable (Happy People = Happy Customer).
  • Carry out advanced analytics studies with the Data Scientist.
  • Set up data pipelines to feed applications, models and reports
  • Open up (external) data sources through complex/smart matching methods.
  • Set up a graph database in order to chart the organisational network.
  • Make initial translation of data into information needs and provide insight into potential improvements in data quality.
  • Expand knowledge relating to the application of the above techniques and data management skills within the team.
  • Provide advice on improving processes based on an innovative perspective.
  • Coach colleagues and share your knowledge and experience.

Your technology stack comprises: Docker, DataIku, Hadoop, Python/R, Spark, H20 (neural networks), Neo4j (graph database)

Collaboration is our working method. The members of our HR Analytics & Insights team join forces to develop a fact-based and data-driven culture within HR and Rabobank. We use the latest advanced analytics techniques to this end and help the business and employees to meet their challenges. While you will be part of our team, you will work in the environment of the Digital Transformation Office, one of Rabobank’s most innovative departments. You will have a high degree of autonomy to research and discover independently within this environment. You will operate within this environment with a number of different colleagues (engineers, statisticians, artificial intelligence) and diverse data sources.
Your joining the team as Data Engineer will bring the number of colleagues with diverse specialists on the HR Analytics & Insights team to eleven:

With you
Customer-centricity comes first, followed by independent and substantiated assessment, inspiration and innovation. You must also have the following in order to successfully fulfil the position of Data Engineer:
  • A relevant university degree (Econometrics, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Applied Mathematics, Statistics or a comparable quantitative study);
  • At least three years’ work experience as a data engineer/software engineer;
  • Strong affinity with the HR domain (people in the organisation);
  • Extensive experience with data transformation tools and strong analytical skills;
  • Extensive experience with SQL, ETL tooling, Hadoop, Python and Spark;
  • Knowledge in the field of data science;
  • Interest in data modelling, data governance, process optimisation and actionable insights;
  • Experience with visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau or Qlikview;
  • Excellent spoken and written command of Dutch and English.
